Andorra is a sovereign landlocked microstate in Southwestern Europe, located in the eastern Pyrenees mountains and bordered by Spain and France.

Andorra is the sixth-smallest nation in Europe, having an area of 468 km2 (181 sq mi) and a population of approximately 85,000. Its capital Andorra la Vella is the highest capital city in Europe, at an elevation of 1,023 metres (3,356 ft) above sea level. The official language is Catalan, although Spanish, Portuguese, and French are also commonly spoken.

Andorra’s got a valley who is listed to the Unesco World Heritage (Madriu – Perafita – Claror Valley).

Andorra’s tourism services an estimated 10.2 million visitors annually. It is not a member of the European Union, but the euro is the official currency. In 2013, the people of Andorra had the highest life expectancy in the world at 81 years, according to The Lancet.

Andorra boasts two bike parks (Soldeu and Vallnord) and three ski areas (Grandvalira, Vallnord Pal-Arinsal and Vallnord Arcalis).

Vallnord Bike Park is one of the most famous bike parks in the world and plays regular host to World Cup and World Champs events. If that doesn’t convince you that Andorra is rockin’ the MTB scene, let us throw a few names at you, like COMMENCAL who have their headquarters in La Massana, pro-rider Cedric Gracia who moved here from France and never left, and the guys from Production Privée who spend their lunch breaks shredding the trails.

If it’s snow and ski that interests you, Vallnord Arcalis hosts the not-to-be-missed first round of the Freeride World Tour.

Andorra is very much influenced by the Spanish lifestyle. Our nightlife is vibrant and lively, dinner isn’t eaten before 9pm, and our people are outgoing and friendly.

You can enjoy the best ‘Tapas’ in town for less than 15€ per person and a pint for 3,5€.

And in Andorra la Vella you’ll find the biggest thermal spa in Europe, the Caldea/Inuu.
