The beginning of our idea was : How can we make discover the best Andorran trails in a week ?

We had a tons of discussion with all the local riders, mountain guides and country lovers, it took a while, it cost us a lot of round of drinks and at the end they all had a differents point of view about what is the best …

The life is like that, what is good for me, it’s maybe not for you !

We are lucky to live here in Andorra because there is all the type of terrains and trails, from the full rocky ridge trails where your technical background gonna make the difference, to the undergrowth flowy trails where your instinct gonna give you wings !

When the group consists, the guide will talk to you to know what you are looking for and he will provide you the best for you !

We welcome solo travellers on our adventures if you are happy to share a room with another solo rider of the same sex.
The price is based on two sharing a room.
If you are coming with rider friends, please specify your friend’s name on your booking, we’ll make you share the same room.
We welcome non-rider friends and family, we will advise you with the best things to do on your arrival.
There is an option on the booking form, where you can specify the number of non-rider friends and family that you’re coming with. (60€ per person / per days)

Price includes:
  • Services of a fully-qualified, expert mountain bike guide for the duration of the trip
  • Airport shuttle
  • Six nights’ chalet/ guest house accommodation
  • Six breakfasts / Six picnic lunch (baguette sandwich, fruit and chocolate bar)
  • Vallnord Lift pass (For the sunday)
  • Final night meal (Cool surprise !)

  • Bike hire – we have a fleet of fantastic COMMENCAL META AM V4.2 available on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of 80€ per day each

Skill level: Intermediate to Advanced

We can operate to split the group on two.
We have two different week circuits depending on your skill and fitness level.

  • You have been mountain biking regularly for at least two years
  • You can brake, use gears and corner with confidence
  • You have good bike handling skills, and are confident riding rough double track and non-technical singletrack
  • You are competent at riding undulating trails with moderate climbs and descents on both double and singletrack, but tend to get off and walk technical singletrack sections
  • You ride approx. four times per month throughout your biking season
  • You are very confident handling most types of riding and obstacles, including drops (up to 1 foot), rocks, logs, switchbacks, larger rock gardens and sustained technical singletrack
  • You can brake, use gears and corner instinctively
  • You have excellent bike handling skills and can lift front and rear wheels, do small jumps, corner, climb and descend steep trails
  • You have considerable experience of riding on a wide variety of technical terrains including: rocky, rooty, muddy, loose, fast singletrack, exposed trails, bedrock for extended periods
  • You ride at least twice a week and rarely get off and walk sections
  • You can climb and descend comfortably on technical singletrack for as long as required

Fitness level: 3 to 4

Level 3
  • You have a reasonable level of mountain bike fitness, exercising at least twice a week for one hour or more, throughout the whole year
  • You can ride a mountain bike for up to five hours per day at a moderate pace, with snack and photo stops, for three consecutive days
  • You are capable of tackling one or two moderate mountain bike climbs per day, of up to 400 metres each
Level 4
  • You have a good level of bike fitness, exercising three or four times every week throughout the year, for an hour at a time
  • You are comfortable mountain biking up to six hours a day at a moderate pace, with snack and photo stops, for three or more consecutive days
  • You can tackle two or three fairly serious climbs a day, up to 600 metres each

Typical trails you’ll be riding

  • The trails in Andorra can be man made of varying trail surface, that will require you to choose your own riding line and decide if it is suitable to ride
  • Double track: undulating and sometimes steep jeep tracks made up of a hard-packed and loose dirt surface
  • Singletrack: you will encounter up to head-sized, fixed and loose rocks, as well as fixed bedrock style trails, small/easy north shore bridges, small drops and large tree roots
  • The surface may be dry and loose, or wet and muddy depending on weather conditions
  • Trails in the forest will have roots crossing them and may be narrow through the trees

Q. How many people will be in the group?

We only run small group adventures to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible, and there will be a maximum of ten people in each group.

Q. What’s the age range of people who come on this holiday?

Our mountain bike vacation in Andorra caters for a wide age range; typically between 25- and 55-years-old, but age is simply a state of mind, as they say, and we welcome anyone over the age of 18! As long as you have a good level of physical fitness and excellent bike handling skills you will enjoy this mountain bike tour no matter what your age.

Q. What style of mountain biking vacation is it?

This mountain biking trip in Andorra is a guided mountain bike vacation, ideal for Intermediate to advanced mountain bikers. Riding here, in Andorra, you’ll experience some tough climbs and technical descents, with drop-offs and north shore, as well as miles and miles of lovely flowing singletrack through the high alpine, and in the world-famous Vallnord bike park.

Q. How far will we be mountain biking each day?

The distances we cover each day range from 20km to 40km, in accordance with the technical difficulty of each trail. Each evening your guides will chat with you about the following day’s mountain biking and give you an idea of the sorts of trails you can look forward to. If there’s anything you feel anxious about, your guides will be happy to discuss it with you.

Q. What if I come across a section of trail I can’t ride?

Your guide will be very happy to give you some bike skills training during your trip to help improve your confidence and your enjoyment of your Andorran mountain biking trip. If there is a section that you would prefer not to ride, then you can simply hop off your bike and walk. You won’t be the only one to walk certain sections and it’s not a competition in biking ability; it’s a mountain bike adventure!

Q. Who will be guiding us?

Your mountain bike guides are local to Andorra and experienced professionals who have a real passion for mountain biking and for the culture and wild landscape of this region. Your safety is their number one priority, closely followed by your enjoyment of the tour. They will always be on-hand to answer any questions or requests you may have throughout your trip.

Q. What sort of accommodation will we be staying in?

On this mountain bike vacation in Andorra you will be staying in comfortable chalets in Erts village. Bedrooms are spacious and well-equipped and there’s a bike garage/workshop area for storing and fixing your bikes. You’ll be just a 3 kilometers from town where there are plenty of great bars and restaurants for dinner and relaxing in the evening.

Q. Which meals are included in the tour price?

Breakfast is included each day, picnic lunch and your evening meal on the final night is included also.

Q. What type of mountain bike is best for the trip?

A good quality full suspension mountain bike with 150mm travel front and rear will be ideal for this mountain bike vacation. The terrain you will be riding is rough in places and you will feel more comfortable on a full suspension bike for the duration of the trip.

If you wish to travel to Andorra with your own bike, we have some handy tips on how to travel by air with your bike. We can arrange bike hire for you for the duration of your trip and have a fleet of fantastic COMENCAL full suspension bikes available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q. What parts should I bring for my bike ?
  • Bike specific brake pads (x2 sets)

  • Professional service must be undertaken prior to trip with dry lube on

Q. Should I bring my own pedals if i’m into a bike hire ?

Yes, if you forget it, we will find a solution but if everybody come without pedals, it will be hard to manage !
